Episode 47: Supernatural

We decide to try a new TV show, this time around the CW show Supernatural. Like any other CW show everybody has to be pretty but is that any bother to the Mofos? Listen as Jake runs down the pilot and Dead in the Water while Scott talks Wendigo and Phantom Traveller.

BRIEFEST opening yet. Some cool news stories but the Mofos watched shit this week. Jake talks about The Boy and that's it. Hey, the weather's getting nice again, we went outside for once.

Music is mostly from the episodes, Kansas, Eagles of Death Metal, and Powerman 5000. Plus Slipknot of course.

Episode 46: My Bloody Valentine commentary

Roses are red, violets are blue, we know Valentine's Day was yesterday so screw you. A viewing of the classic 1981 slasher My Bloody Valentine is still timely. Join Jake and Scott as they watch the glory of the uncut version (the only way to watch it), marvel at it's goriness and listen as Scott nearly spoils the damn thing so many times.

Bunch of news stories involving the new Purge, the "Expendables of Horror" and new Spawn movie. Plus Jake gushes over Deadpool and has some things to say about the Cabin Fever remake (spoilers: not very good things).

Music in this episode is the Ballad of Harry Warden, plus more from Pat Benatar and David E. Williams.

Episode 45: Mel Brooks Transylvania Double Feature!

So this episode we talk some more Mel Brooks movies, specifically ones based off of the classic movie monsters. Jake talks the classic Young Frankenstein while trying to cut down on using the word "basically" (take a shot every time he does) while Scott talks about the only time we get a Mel Brooks Leslie Nielsen pairing, Dracula: Dead and Loving It.

We do our final football talk until September, talking about the close defensive match that was Superbowl 50, and a little about the commercials. News stories about the villain of the new Power Rangers movie (and social justice warriors) and a new Saw movie finally? Then it's Scott's turn to have a major movie marathon while Jake only watched a select few.

Episode 44: This Is Crazy

You know what's crazy? Episode 44 of Unholy Mofos, that's what! This time around Scott does a crazy rundown of the original 1973 George Romero film The Crazies and crazily enough Jake follows up with the 2010 remake, and drops a crazy amount of knowledge since it was crazily filmed around his neck of the woods.

Opening segment talks of a crazy Super Bowl matchup, along with a crazy amount of news stories, some of them being crazy stupid. Then we talk some crazy movies in What You've Been Watching.

Crazy amount of music in this episode. Johnny Cash, Def Leppard, Mushroomhead, and to cap it all off, Carly Rae Jepsen, Aerosmith, Willie Nelson, Buckcherry, KISS, Queen, Heart and Ozzy Osbourne.

Next week's crazy episode we'll being talking about that crazy man Mel Brooks, with Dracula Dead and Loving It and Young Frankenstein.

Did I mention this was crazy? Crazy. Crazy....

Episode 43: More Kolchak

Well, Newty's back so that must mean it's time for some more Kolchak. Jake runs down episode 3 "They Have Been, They Are, They Will Be..." and Scott just halfasses episode 4 The Vampire much to Newty's dismay. At least Jake gets Vincenzo's name right this time!

Opening segment features news of the new out of nowhere Cloverfield sequel coming out shortly and What You've Been Watching where Scott finally sees Star Wars (and nearly spoils it).

Music in this episode comes from Dope, Disturbed and Beastie Boys.

Next time we meet, we will be talking about The Crazies, both the 1973 version and the 2010 remake. And me might have a guest or two! Maybe.

Episode 42: Brick Mansions and Super Mario Bros

Well, it's not too long of an episode. Scott's running down the Paul Walker film Brick Mansions, which doesn't take too long. Jake is the only one who watched his movie Super Mario Bros, so is basically talking to himself during that rundown, which is way more complex then it needs to be. Otherwise, usual BS of football, news and What You've Been Watching.

Music in the show comes from Word Alive, George Clinton, Motorhead and Queen with David Bowie.

Next week we will try to make up for this one with another Kolchak episode with Newty.

Episode 41: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 commentary

Happy New Year's, folks! To start the year off, well we didn't want to do notes or gather up clips because we're lazy like that. So time for another commentary, this time the Michael Bay TMNT. A movie that splits people, but what do the Mofos think? Well at the very least it does have us talking more than our last few commentary episodes! So less dead air at least!

Opening segment is a little light, featuring New Year's stories, some football, a story about the future of the Halloween franchise and Jake's large list for What You've Been Watching (that's what happens when you have a week off).

Music in this is from Five Finger Death Punch and Egypt Central.

Next time we meet, a guilty pleasure themed show. Jake will talk about the very loose movie adaptation of Super Mario Brothers and Scott will talk about Paul Walker in Brick Mansions (which he hasn't seen but we'll let him have it)

Episode 40: Bad Santa and Ernest Saves Christmas

Did everyone have a good Christmas? If you didn't, listen to some Unholy Mofos to cheer you up!

We have a lengthy opening, talking about what we got for Christmas, celebrating Jake's victory in the Tom Atkins Podcasting League, sharing some upcoming horror movies in 2016 and then listing off our top 5 movies of 2015.

After that, time for the main attraction: more Christmas movies! Jake talks about Billy Bob Thorton in Bad Santa, and tries to explain to a very confused Scott why being smashed between two cars is deadly. After a movie about boozing, swearing and fucking is done, we move on to Scott running down the PG rated Ernest Saves Christmas.

Music in this episode: A little Queen in the beginning for Jake's victory. Jake still makes the music a little festive (hey it still is a Christmas episode) with songs from Corey Taylor and South Park, while Scott plugs in some Mudvayne. Cause nothing says an Ernest Christmas movie like Mudvayne, doesn't it?

Next week, we'll be starting off the New Year with something we haven't done in a while, a commentary. This time around it's the 2014 version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Episode 39 Silent Night Deadly Night 1 & 2

Christmastime is in the air, and you can just feel the love between the Mofos in this episode. And by love I mean telling each other "Fuck you" often. Starts out with Fantasy Football talk where one of the hosts (hint: not Scott) facing off against Craig from Time After Time Horrorcast. Then some news stories and airing of grievances in What You've Been Watching plus talk about the new Star Wars (completely spoiler free). 

Then it's time to talk about Christmas movies. Scott talks about the controversial 1984 cult classic Silent Night Deadly Night. Next up Jake talks about the sequel which is half footage from the first movie, so easy rundown there. And yes, we have a clip of THAT part from part 2. You know what I'm talking about.

Music is festive in this episode of course. Coming from the soundtrack of Silent Night Deadly Night, August Burns Red, and Jon Lajoie.

Next week, more Christmas! This time around it's Christmas comedies, with Bad Santa and Ernest Saves Christmas.

Episode 38: More Tales From the Crypt

Back to Tales From the Crypt! This time we'll be wrapping up season 1, Scott running down "Dig That Cat... He's Real Gone" and "Lover Come Hack to Me" while Jake talks about "Only Sin Deep" and "Collection Completed" (also bringing up a little TMI).

Opening segment consists of fantasy football playoff talks (possibility of Unholy Mofos Championship!), light news and Ash Vs Evil Dead talk as Jake is finally caught up on it!

Lot of music breaks so lot of music this week, from Green Day, Pop Evil, Trapt, In This Moment and Korn.

Next week back to talking about movies, and just in time for the holidays, something a little festive! That's right, we will be talking Silent Night Deadly Night 1 & 2!
