Episode 176: Dead Snow 1 & 2
Monday Jan 13, 2020
Monday Jan 13, 2020
In our shortest episode in a while (we miss Sean and his long rants) we discuss some nazi zombies with the cult classic Dead Snow and its sequel Dead Snow 2 Red vs Dead. First since it's the beginning of a new year and decade, Jake gives his best of the year, worst of the year and best of the decade, and is the only one to do so of course. Plus a little playoff football talk, more fucked up sex positions and Jake's "exciting" New Years Eve.
Music:
Grieg - Hall of the Mountain King
Benea Reach - Awakening
Dope - Die Motherfucker Die
Static-X - Bled For Days
Next time around it's a Joe Dante double feature with Small Soldiers and us returning to Gremlins with Gremlins 2: The New Batch
Sunday Dec 29, 2019
Episode 175: How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Elf
Sunday Dec 29, 2019
Sunday Dec 29, 2019
This week's subjects are Jim Carrey in the 2000 version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Will Ferrell in the Jon Favreau directed Elf. Two PG family movies, does that mean we'll be cleaning things up a bit? Fuck no. Especially when you hear this new segment we're doing. Plus talking about how our Christmases were, a short list of upcoming horror movies and more.
Music
Jim Carrey - You're a Mean One Mr Grinch
The Pretty Reckless - Heaven Knows
The Ongoing Concept - Jingle Bell Rock
Busta Rhymes feat Jim Carrey - Grinch 2000
Next time around, more wintertime movies except back to some good old R rated horror with Dead Snow 1 & 2
Saturday Dec 21, 2019
Episode 174: Deck the Halls and The Night Before
Saturday Dec 21, 2019
Saturday Dec 21, 2019
We're back! After a near month break and now we're one man down! So we get back into doing a brief football talk (even though the absent one's team is the only one doing good this year), some trailer talks and Jake's laundry list of what he's being watching. And then Christmas comedies, with the Danny Devito Matthew Broderick flick Deck the Halls and Seth Rogen in The Night Before.
Music
Run DMC - Christmas in Hollis
AC/DC - Are You Ready
Animal In Me - Wrecking Ball
Animal In Me - Last Christmas
Next time around one more Christmas episode, with the Jim Carrey Grinch and Will Ferrell in Elf.
Sunday Nov 24, 2019
Episode 173: Diamonds Are Forever and Live And Let Die
Sunday Nov 24, 2019
Sunday Nov 24, 2019
More James Bond, where we get the return of Sean Connery in Diamonds Are Forever and then the debut of Roger Moore as 007 in Live and Let Die. Also a very spoiler heavy talk about Doctor Sleep so skip until you hear the music (Sean kind of disappeared for a bit in the middle of that segment so we figured we could talk spoilers).
And speaking of music
Shirley Bassey - Diamonds Are Forever
Paul McCartney - Live and Let Die
Guns & Roses - Live and Let Die
Next time it will still be November so what the hell, fit in one more Bond episode with Man With the Golden Gun and The Spy Who Loved Me

The Power Rangers Orchestra – "Go Go Power Rangers"

Snap! – "The Power" produced by Snap!
Fun Tomas (featuring Carl Douglas) – "Kung Fu Dancing"

Thursday Nov 07, 2019

On Her Majesty's Secret Service theme
Nancy Sinatra - You Only Live Twice
Next time it's the last Connery movie and the debut of Roger Moore with Diamonds Are Forever and Live And Let Die

Episode 171: Jacob's Ladder and Donnie Darko
Thursday Oct 24, 2019
Thursday Oct 24, 2019
Wooo boy, strap yourselves in, everybody. The movies we talk about today are very complex and lead to some very deep conversations. Not only that but we're pretty sure Sean breaks his Scrooged record (and by the way, him running it down was Scott's idea). There's a reason this may be the longest non milestone episode yet.
Music:
Huey Lewis and The News - Jacob's Ladder
Gary Jules - Mad World
Next time we meet, it will be James Bond November. So we will be continuing with You Only Live Twice and Her Majesty's Secret Service
Thursday Oct 24, 2019
Tales From the Cryosphere: Jason Takes Manhattan
Thursday Oct 24, 2019
Thursday Oct 24, 2019
It's our first Friday the 13th on the Cryosphere, even bringing on the big Friday the 13th fan Newty (Gary joins halfway) and it's... the one where Jason is on a boat for most of the runtime instead of Manhattan. This was all Sean's idea because it's the first horror movie he's ever seen, so blame him.
Music
Metropolis - The Darkest Side of The Night
Lonely Island - I'm On A Boat
Sunday Oct 13, 2019
Episode 170: Scream 3 and 4
Sunday Oct 13, 2019
Sunday Oct 13, 2019
Our first Halloween show of the year, we decide to go back and finish up Scream series after a few episodes. But first some impromptu Chuck Norris jokes, crop circles and since it is Halloween time how many movies is Jake watching these days?
Music:
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Red Right Hand
Slipknot - People = Shit
Next time around, some mind bending horror flicks with Donnie Darko and Jacob's Ladder
Friday Oct 11, 2019
Tales From the Cryosphere: Behind The Mask Rise of Leslie Vernon
Friday Oct 11, 2019
Friday Oct 11, 2019
In our first Halloween Cryosphere (even though it should have been our second, fucking technology, man) we revisit the cult classic mockumentary. And surprise surprise, it's actually Sean's first viewing after bullshitting his way through it when we first did the movie. So what does he think? Tune in to find out
Music
Talking Heads - Psycho Killer
One Man Army and the Undead Quartet - He's Back (The Man Behind the Mask)
